Heat pumps in multi-family buildings

Heat pumps in multi-family buildings

15 May 2023

Multi-family buildings come in all shapes and sizes. This results in more numerous and complex
solutions which may be implemented to cover heating demand and domestic hot water needs. Consequently, choosing the most appropriate solution is a much more difficult task.

The most important fact is that it is possible. Heat pumps are and can be implemented in multi-family buildings. This is the case for new or retrofitted buildings, and even for buildings where
no energy savings measures have been taken.

The case studies presented in this booklet show the variety of buildings and of the available solutions.
