07 Apr 2026

On 25 March 2026, the Heat Pump KEYMARK community gathered in Milan to celebrate an important milestone: 10 years of independent certification supporting trust, transparency and quality in the European heat pump market.

Held during Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) at Fiera Milano, the anniversary reception brought together manufacturers, certification bodies, testing laboratories, associations, policymakers and partners from across Europe.

The event celebrated the growth of the Heat Pump KEYMARK scheme over the past decade and recognised the people and organisations who have contributed to its success.

During the evening, Leopoldo Mico, Director of Innovation and Certification, reflected on the evolution of the scheme since its launch in 2016 and highlighted its role in strengthening market confidence, transparency and fair competition.

Guests also heard from Bence Thurnay, Secretary General of ETICS, which took over the role of KEYMARK Management Organisation in January 2026.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of several individuals who have helped shape the scheme over the years, including Laure Meljac, Dr. Johannes Brugmann, Dr. Ina Foerster, and Thomas Nowak.

The celebration concluded with a networking reception and anniversary cake, marking ten years of collaboration and shared commitment to independent certification.

As the scheme enters its next chapter, the Heat Pump KEYMARK community remains committed to supporting innovation, transparency and trust in the market.
