New EHPA Board elected

New EHPA Board elected

27 May 2026

Today the European Heat Pump Association’s members voted in a new Board of directors, which then elected Patrick Crombez, General Manager Environmental Research Centre – Daikin Europe, as its president for a second time. The new Board and president have a two year mandate.

Patrick Crombez
 said:

“I’m honoured to continue as president of the Board of the European Heat Pump Association. It’s a highly significant moment for the heat pump sector, which is now recognised as a crucial part of the necessary electrification of our economies at the highest political levels.

We must maximise this momentum, ensuring it leads to real change on tax levels on electricity, steady support systems, flexible tariffs for consumers, and a wider take-up of large heat pumps in industry. The Board will provide oversight, guidance and support for the secretariat as it works to this end during these important months.”

Paul Kenny, Director General of the European Heat Pump Association said:

“I’m really pleased to have such an expert, far-sighted Board, representing all parts of the heat pump sector. Their strategic guidance will be vital for EHPA’s role as the voice of the industry to the EU at such a pivotal time. Congratulations to all incoming Board members on their election, and my warmest thanks to the outgoing Board, whose input over the last two years has been invaluable.”

The vote took place at the EHPA 2026 General Assembly, which took place in the Vienna Hofburg alongside the International Energy Agency’s Heat Pump Conference.
