This webinar is part of the Heat BIG series – implementing industrial and district heat pump solutions!
Organised in the framework of the Push2Heat project, this webinar explores how High-Temperature Heat Pumps (HTHPs) are moving from innovation to real industrial deployment. It will examine market opportunities and product-market fit, highlighting how these technologies can effectively meet the needs of industry.
With a particular focus on the pulp and paper sector, the session will present real-world applications of HTHPs, drawing on insights from ongoing demonstration projects and concrete industrial case studies.
Participants will gain insights from technical, economic, and environmental analyses, as well as results from ongoing demonstration projects and concrete industrial case studies, showcasing the practical integration and impact of these technologies.

Market Opportunity and Product-Market Fit in HTHPs
The low-carbon heat and steam market is accelerating, with High-Temperature Heat Pumps (HTHPs) gaining traction. However, a persistent gap between strong market interest and limited project realization points to challenges in achieving product-market fit. This presentation shares new results from the EU-funded Push2Heat project, presenting a novel matchmaking tool that links HTHP technologies with industrial applications.

Technical, economic, and environmental analysis of integrating a high-temperature heat pump into a pulp and paper industry in Italy
This session will explore the integration of a high-temperature heat pump combined with a mechanical vapor recompression system in the pulp and paper industry, showing how waste heat can be recovered to produce industrial steam. It will highlight the technical, economic, and environmental potential of this solution, demonstrating its role as a sustainable alternative to conventional steam generation in industry.
