How can industrial heat pumps help decarbonise one of Europe’s most energy-intensive food sectors?
This webinar, part of the Heat BIG series – implementing industrial and district heat pump solutions, will focus on the role of industrial heat pumps in the dairy sector. From milk processing to cheese production, dairy facilities require significant amounts of heat, making them a strong candidate for large scale heat pump solutions.
The session will present the latest outlook for the industrial heat pump sector, introduce the BETTED project, and explore the market evolution and potential of industrial heat pumps with a dedicated focus on dairy applications. The industrial heat pump analysis presented during the webinar was performed in the framework of the SPIRIT project, which is demonstrating two industrial heat pump applications in the food and beverage sector.
Through a series of case studies, participants will know more on how industrial heat pumps can be integrated into dairy processes, supporting energy efficiency, emissions reduction and the transition away from fossil-based heat.
