How can digital twins support the integration and optimisation of industrial heat pumps?
Organised in the framework of the EU-funded SPIRIT project and EHPA’s HEAT BIG webinar series, this webinar will introduce numerical modelling and explore how digital twins can support the design, monitoring and operation of industrial heat pump systems.
Experts from the project will present the digital twins developed for the three SPIRIT demonstration plants and share available validation results from the pilot installations. The session will show how modelled performance can be compared with real operational data, how the models can support controller set-point optimisation, and how they can help analyse steady and dynamic system behaviour.
Participants will also learn how digital modelling can provide early insights into expected performance, energy and fuel savings, costs and CO₂ reductions, supporting the wider deployment of heat pumps across different industrial processes.
