No warmth wasted – how heat can power industry

25 June 2026
/ 25 June 2026
10:30-12:15 CEST

We’re surrounded by waste – waste heat, that is. From data centres to swimming pools, un-needed thermal energy is rejected into the air. But now heat recovery technologies are able to take that low level heat and turn it into electricity or into greater heat, which can then be used all over again.

At our Heat BIG series webinar on Thursday 25 June 2026 we’ll dive into the power of the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and large-scale heat pumps to see how they transform waste heat into valuable energy, lowering emissions, and saving costs along the way!

We’ll present examples of how these technologies are being used in the ‘real world’, and look into the policy and regulations which have an impact on their rollout.

Draft agenda (times are CEST):

10:30-10:35:   Welcome and introduction
Piero Colonna – Professor, Delft University of Technology

10:35-10:45:   ORC and industrial heat pump markets and supply chains
