Made in Europe: technology-specific pathways to clean tech manufacturing

11 June 2026
9:30 - 11:00 CEST
European Commission's Charlemagne Building

Part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (9–11 June), this policy session, organised by EHPA and the European Commission’s DG GROW,  explores how to strengthen Europe’s clean tech manufacturing base while ensuring the rapid, affordable, and secure deployment of clean energy technologies.

As the EU advances initiatives under the Clean Industrial Deal and the Industrial Accelerator Act, reinforcing industrial resilience and competitiveness has become a priority. While global supply chains remain essential for cost-effective deployment, recent disruptions have highlighted the need to boost manufacturing capacity in Europe without compromising speed, affordability, or competition.

Bringing together representatives from research, the European Commission, European Parliament and cleantech manufacturers Vaillant Group, Oxford PV and ZF Group, the session will provide insights into clean tech manufacturing trends, investment patterns, and policy design. Discussions will focus on how “Made in Europe” provisions – through procurement, auctions, and subsidies – can strengthen the business case for manufacturing in Europe while supporting climate objectives and internal market principles.

The session will be livestreamed. Participants – both onsite and online – will have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion and share experiences.

Please note: registration alongside ID or passport is required to access the venue.
