Part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (9–12 June), this policy session, organised by EHPA and the Heat Pump Accelerator Platform, explores how to accelerate heat pump deployment by reducing costs and improving competitiveness.
As the EU advances key initiatives such as the Electrification Action Plan, the Heating and Cooling Strategy, and the Affordable Energy Action Plan, heat pumps are increasingly recognised as a cornerstone technology for decarbonising heating and cooling, enhancing energy security, and supporting a competitive clean energy transition. However, reducing both upfront and operational costs remains essential to scaling up their adoption.
Bringing together representatives from the European Commission, Flemish research body VITO, utility provider Octopus Energy and more, the session aims to provide practical insights and real-world examples alongside discussions on energy taxation, innovative business models and increased market transparency.
The session will be livestreamed. Participants – both onsite and online – will have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion and share experiences.
Please note: ID or passport required to access the venue.
