Recognizing enduring market trends over extended periods, spanning years and even decades, stands as a pivotal factor in fostering the growth and advancement of the Renewable Heating and Cooling (RHC) sector. This alignment with significant societal and technological shifts facilitates a deliberate approach to responsiveness and adaptation, transcending reactive measures and fostering the formulation of a comprehensive strategic framework. Accordingly, the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), together with the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating & Cooling (RHC-ETIP), orchestrates a sequence of matchmaking events and panel discussions aimed at delineating prospective challenges. These forums afford partner organizations the opportunity to proactively tackle identified issues. Attendance at these events involves representatives from diverse end-use sectorial organizations, encompassing but not confined to, those within the realms of building, transportation, and industrial sectors.

Watt's next webinar: the shift to an electric and efficient net zero industry

Industrial heat remains a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for two-thirds of industrial energy demand.  Electrifying heat through clean and efficient technologies such as heat pumps and the Organic Rankine Cycle - a means of converting low-temperature heat into electricity through an organic fluid - is critical for reducing emissions and improving  Europe's energy security.
