Birgit has extensive experience in managing and supervising the operations of international associations and non-profit organisations. Over the past two decades, she has worked both as a consultant in association management companies and in-house in professional societies and trade associations in Brussels.

She holds a master’s degree in economics and management from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy and Université de Namur in Belgium, and speaks German, English, French and Italian. 

Birgit joined EHPA in January 2025 as Operations Director. In this role, she leads the operations team, supporting them in developing, streamlining, and executing the organisation’s administration, governance, finance, HR and IT services.
