Poland pauses heat pump subsidy scheme

Poland pauses heat pump subsidy scheme

06 Dec 2024

The Polish government is to temporarily suspend its largest subsidy initiative, the Clean Air Programme, which also covers heat pumps, it recently announced.

“Our primary goal is to improve air quality, but we must also protect Polish citizens from dishonest contractors and intermediaries to prevent them from facing the need to repay subsidies or deal with exorbitant bills. At the same time, under the ‘Clean Air’ program, we are now focusing on providing critical support to residents of flood-affected voivodeships. We have secured PLN 300 million for this purpose,” said Dorota Zawadzka-Stępniak, President of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, which manages the scheme.

EHPA will monitor developments closely and keep our members informed of any updates.
