Today, we’re taking you behind the scenes of the Heat Pump KEYMARK certification process with a new video: Certified with Confidence: Heat Pump KEYMARK x SZÚ a collaboration between the Heat Pump KEYMARK Secretariat and the Czech testing laboratory and Certification Body SZÚ (Strojírenský zkušební ústav).
The short film takes viewers inside the Heat Pump KEYMARK certification process, highlighting how independent, third-party testing and robust certification procedures work together to build trust in heat pump quality and performance across Europe. Featuring insights from key stakeholders, including representatives from both the KEYMARK Secretariat and SZÚ, the video illustrates the rigorous procedures that underpin one of Europe’s most trusted voluntary certification marks for heat pumps.
The Heat Pump KEYMARK is a voluntary European certification mark that verifies compliance with high performance, efficiency and quality standards through impartial third-party testing and assessment. Owned by the European Committee for Standardisation and coordinated by EHPA, the scheme provides a single harmonised certificate recognised across multiple European markets.
“Certified with Confidence: Heat Pump KEYMARK x SZÚ offers audiences a transparent look into the essential roles that testing laboratories and certification bodies play in maintaining the integrity of the certification process,” said Leopoldo Micò, Director of the Heat Pump KEYMARK Secretariat. “Through collaboration and shared expertise, we ensure that manufacturers can confidently demonstrate product quality, and that end users can trust the heat pumps they choose.”
By giving visibility to the people and facilities behind Heat Pump KEYMARK, the video reinforces the scheme’s foundational values of independence, transparency, and cooperation, values that have supported its growth and recognition throughout the European heating and cooling sector..
