We are delighted to invite you to Watt’s Next, an online event dedicated to exploring how industries can decarbonise. The webinar will take place on 15 October 2025, from 9:00 – 10:30 CEST.
Industrial heat is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, representing nearly two-thirds of total industrial energy demand. Addressing this challenge is vital if Europe is to achieve its climate goals, strengthen energy security, and maintain industrial competitiveness.
A key pathway forward is the electrification of heat. By replacing fossil-based heating with clean and efficient technologies—such as heat pumps and the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is critical for a competive and secure industrial energy future and can significantly cut emissions while improving energy efficiency and resilience.
Organised by the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), the European Climate Foundation (ECF), and the Knowledge Centre on Organic Rankine Cycle technology (KCORC), this webinar will bring together leading voices and practical insights to:
-
Showcase industrial electrification potential through real-world case studies demonstrating how heat pumps and ORC technologies are already transforming industrial processes.
-
Engage a wide range of stakeholders from across the EU, including policymakers, manufacturing leaders, technology providers, ESCOs, utility companies, end users, and technical experts.
-
Support EU policy development by contributing evidence-based recommendations to the Electrification Action Plan and the forthcoming Heating & Cooling Strategy.
-
Promote cross-border learning by highlighting national and regional best practices, sharing the latest research, and presenting new data on industrial decarbonisation pathways.
This event offers a unique opportunity to understand the role of electrification in shaping a competitive, sustainable, and secure industrial energy future.
