EHPA supports the proposed scope of the auction, namely projects that decarbonise industrial process heat through innovative electrification technologies such as heat pumps, electric boilers, resistance heating, induction heating, plasma heating and other solutions, as well as renewable solutions (solar thermal and geothermal). However, we propose to expand it to include industrial process cooling; in practical terms, the temperature requirements proposed below should not change, but projects should be allowed to integrate process cooling and count the related abated CO2 in their bid.
