Maria is an LL.M. EU-qualified lawyer with expertise in Competition, Antitrust, and Energy Law. Her professional journey includes a Blue Book Trainee position at the European Commission’s ENER Directorate, where she worked with the Building and Products Team, gaining valuable insights into the heat pump sector.

Before that, she worked at an international law firm, specialising in Antitrust, Competition, and Foreign Direct Investment. This diverse experience fuels her commitment to driving innovation and improving competitiveness in the sector.

Maria joined EHPA in March 2025 where she focuses on Ecodesign & Energy Labelling, Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)​​​, Environmental Product Declaration​​​ and the Circular Economy Act​.
