Maite holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Granada, complemented by a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Local Goverments in the University of Santiago de Compostela.

After graduation Maite completed an intership at the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) fosusing in project management and envirommental governance, after that she was a Policy and Project Management Assistant at the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE) addresing topics such as Social Dialogue, capacity building and the Twin Transition. 

In February 2025, Maite joined the policy team as Policy Assistant.
