DESCRIPTION
Get ready to embark on an exciting journey into the world of aquathermal energy (AE)! We are thrilled to invite you to the inaugural WaterWarmth webinar, an online event that explores innovative uses of this technology in the North Sea region through community collaboration.
WHY ATTEND?
AE represents a significant opportunity for sustainable heating and cooling—a game-changer in the quest for a more sustainable and resilient future. The project WaterWarmth develops inspiring pilots and real-world examples that show its immense potential. Our goal is clear: to help energy communities to integrate AE in their operations, significantly contributing to the energy transition in the North Sea Region.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
- Introduction to WaterWarmth: Discover the vision, goals, and strategies of the project.
- Insights into pilot projects: See practical examples of AE in action for sustainable heating and cooling.
- Practical tips for energy communities: Learn how to implement AE in your community, with advice on overcoming challenges and maximising benefits.
.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This webinar series is designed for energy communities, local authorities, EU project partners, academia, policymakers, and anyone keen on advancing sustainable energy solutions.
AGENDA
- Introduction to Aquathermal Energy, by Sebastian Baes: “Explore the varied applications of AE and its adaptability across different contexts”.

ABOUT THE WATERWARMTH PROJECT
The WaterWarmth consortium is committed to utilising AE for a significant impact in the North Sea Region (NSR). AE harnesses heat from water to provide sustainable heating and cooling. Despite its promise, many are still unaware of this abundant resource. WaterWarmth aims to change this by addressing challenges such as high transition costs, low fossil fuel prices, and integration issues. We support ECs by developing practical, local examples of AE solutions to drive the energy transition forward.
